Through the combined efforts of The Carey Group and The Pittsburgh Penguins the cities of Pittsburgh & Philadelphia hit the ice one more time at Heinz Field’s Stadium Series. This time however, you wouldn’t see Captain Sidney Crosby or Evgeni Malkin, but our brave city police officers from across the state.
On Monday, February 27th, the Pittsburgh Icemen and Philadelphia Police Hockey team faced off on the Stadium Series Ice at Heinz Field. After a few photos and smiles it was down to business at center ice for puck drop.
Surrounded by family and friends, both police departments’ hockey teams hit the ice on a cold Monday evening. Under the Heinz Field’s lights the players went back and forth. Ultimately, no matter the score that evening, both teams made unforgettable memories and friendships that span the whole state of Pennsylvania.
